Everything from styling those 'forgotten pieces', to dressing for the chilly wind tunnels days

May in Sydney consists of weather anywhere from 12 to 26ºC. Living beach side, this means my current outfit choices cross anything from a bikini and cute Zulu & Zephyr cap, to a pair of Rollas jeans, turtleneck, crew neck, another jumper, and leather coat. Although I don't mind the weather versatility, it can make my weekly outfits dressing for the work week slightly difficult. Also, I like to try to look slightly cute and professional, and honestly, torrential rain for 2 weeks straight doesn't help.

Styling my work outfits makes the whole getting up for work thing a bit more palatable. It also makes me challenge myself a little more with the things I wear; I like to try and dig up a 'forgotten piece' from my closet floor every week and make it work.

A lot of the time I will spend a good 20 minutes dressing, stripping, and throwing all of my clothes on the floor; trying to find something that I feel good in, can be a challenge in itself. Some days, a boring jeans and a button up fit take the win. Below are a few highlights of my weekly outfits on days when I got up early enough to 'style'.

For unusual sunny Monday; my cobalt blue vintage velvet midi skirt paired with a lace singlet braids bows 90s sunnies a red shoulder bag and black chunky loafers (you can bet that I have a chunky knit waiting for me just out of frame).

For a chilly Tuesday when the wind tunnels are purring. A pair of black flared corduroy Rollas brown leather belt paired with a white high-neck long sleeve green shoulder bag black clogs and socks and a chocolate brown leather coat.

For those in between days when you’re not quite sure whether it will rain or you will need the aircon. Levis jorts and my Roc boots are my saviour. I like to pair this combo with a turtleneck (green in this instance) hair bows and a leather coat.

For a frilly Friday. I love wearing pieces that I recently made to work to experiment with how the garment feels. This outfit consists of a loose fitting cotton pleated mini dress with a brown trim and pockets. I paired this with a black headband silver jewellery a chocolate brown leather coat and my Roc boots.

For a day in need of comfort and minimal styling. This denim set by Rollas is my go to. I am obsessed with the weight and fit of their denim. It is so flattering and comfortable it actually makes me feel good (a rarity with jeans). I love pairing this set with an undershirt and my Roc boots

I always love learning new ways to style my clothing new brands to buy from and new trends circulating the globe. If you have any suggestions or recommendations HMU.
