influencer inspiration of late

Not to be dramatic, but I recently started a new job that consists of a 50-minute bus and train commute to work and I’m dead. Like, that's obviously pretty standard for Sydney, so I will suck it up and get over it, but as an avid non-morning person, being on public transport, half-awake, under-caffeinated at 7-something AM is NOT OKAY in my opinion. Alas, the job is good, so I will force my attitude to be the same — Instagram and Pinterest influencer inspiration doom-scrolling has definitely helped.

AND I think the fashion influencer girlies have unknowingly become a larger part of my day than I intended... I love the influencer inspiration and joy it brings me. Fashion has always been one of my little happy places, but lately it’s the girlies online who have been really eating it up. The fits, the radical layering, and wild accessorising have been my daily inspo. They are out here looking fierce, and I’m literally just trying to remember to get off at the right station (I quite literally missed my stop the other day — I repeat: not a morning person).

There’s just something so delicious about watching someone throw together a look that’s effortlessly chaotic but somehow makes sense in the coolest way. It’s art. It’s self-expression. And I’m obsessed.

Recently, I’ve been obsessed with a few influencers in particular. I just love the layers, colour, and texture combos they’re throwing together. They give major 'fun, cool-girl, nonchalant' energy and are inspiring me A-LOT.

Here are three girlies who have been living rent-free in my saved folders lately:

@olhirst fashion influencer wearing a layered outfit in front of a miu miu billboard.

Olivia Hirst — @olhirst The edgy, maximalist, effortless cool-girl vibes, all miraculously in Miu Miu. Perfection. I am obsessed with her outfits — how experimental they are, how many elements she puts into a look, and how they are so blatantly cool. She really screams fashion.

@laraadkins fashion influencer dressed in Y2K inspired vacation wear in bright colours.

Lara Adkins — @laraadkins She really emulates the life of a fun little sister, and I love how girly and Y2K inspired she is. Her vibe is so Polly Pocket, cute, colourful, and playful. She makes me want to feel five years old again, in the best ways. I love the adamant lack of trying to look adult (that boring sort of vibe we all at some stage feel the need to transition to) she carries, and feel very inspired by the fun and playful vibe of not only her outfits but how she perceives her attitude towards life online.

@morgan.ag fashion influencer wearing a 70s inspired look, sitting in brown boots in front of a green wall.

Morgan — @morgan.ag I’m in love with her mid-century, 60s/70s-inspired living spaces, and outfits - how this is carried into (or vice versa) her fashion taste is immaculate. I am obsessed with that era and love seeing modern-day girlies inspired by the fashion of that time. The silhouettes, liveliness of the culture, and patterns are to die for, and she does a great job at portraying this in her fits and photos.

THANK YOU girlies for inspiring me day-in-day-out, and for making my daily commute fun.

Always in need of more inspo! So DM me your favourite fashion guys or girlies of the minute.

MUCH LOVE,

xx
