I’m not a huge makeup girl, mainly because I find it so hard to get up in the mornings. Sleep is just so nice, and I’m definitely a sleepy girl. I’ve always opted for more sleep, resulting in a rushed morning routine—which isn’t the smartest choice.

Anyway, I still use makeup and am learning loads about it, as I’m extremely amateur. My go-to products are mainly eyeliner, eyeshadow, concealer, and lip products. I LOVE a good lip liner and lip gloss, and I always have a few variations clinking around in my bag.

Makeup is definitely something I’d like to learn more about and improve this year—it’s super fun and quite fascinating. For now, I’ve been loving everything lip. There are so many cutesy Instagram and Pinterest girls sharing their lip combos, and I’m a little obsessed. While I’m yet to master mine, I do have a few products I use super frequently that make my life easier. Honestly, they’re just some lil bits and bobs that bring me joy, and I can recommend for you.

Lip Oil Hydrating Treatment, MCCOBeauty $14

SHOP HERE: I love the tint shade ‘Sheer Pink’ and its glossy feel. The colour appears quite natural, adding just a slight rouge to enhance your lip colour. The glossiness also provides hydration while maintaining a lasting shine. Santa gifted me one of these for Christmas, and I couldn’t be happier.

PILLOW TALK LIP & CHEEK GLOW, Charlotte Tilbury $60

SHOP HERE: The shade ‘Dreams’ is my everyday saviour—it gives such a quick glow enhancement to my complexion, which is exactly what I need when rushing out the door every morning. Sliding this product across my lips and cheekbones adds the perfect, subtle colouring that I often crave. It’s been a constant in my bag over the past year.

Lip Balm Original, Dermal Therapy $6.49

SHOP HERE: This lip balm saved me during the winter-to-summer weather transition. I recently started a low dose of Roaccutane for my skin, which is working but has made me so prone to chapped lips, among other things. This lip balm was the only one that kept up. I now apply it at least twice a day, and my lips are happy again. I’m so thankful for this recommendation—an absolute daily must!

Super Lustrous Lipstick, Revlon $27.95

SHOP HERE: I don’t wear lipstick often, but this is a cute, subtle colour I like to keep on hand. I tend to keep my lip makeup quite bare and natural, as I get self-conscious about my lip shape not suiting bold colours. I like the texture of this stick, the slight tint it adds, and the price point. Let’s be real—I live in Sydney and tend to lose things a bit, so keeping my makeup at a reasonable cost is a must.

Precision Pout Liner, Kylie Cosmetics $31

SHOP HERE: Lip liner is a must for me when heading out in the evening. I’m yet to find one I’m obsessed with, but for now, I’ve been using this one in the shade ‘Cappuccino’. It’s a slightly darker tone, which I like to use as an outer layer before adding my gloss.

Kissing Jelly Hydrating Lip Oil Gloss, Too Faced $22

SHOP HERE: Obsessed with this one!! It’s the perfect addition to every single one of the products above. It has such a cute, shiny glimmer to it and smells/tastes amazing. Such a throwback to 10-year-old me and her obsession with the Lip Smackers that came in Total Girl and DOLLY magazines. I’m about to run out of this in ‘Pina Colada’ and can’t wait to grab more.
