Coveted Coats for Winter

For the season of the cold, chilly winds, crisp mornings, warm coffee, and accepting the very real possibility of wearing thermals to work under your top.
Your designated partner in crime: a covetable winter coat.
I’ve come to the realisation (please prove me wrong if I am; I’d really like to be) that the winter coats in movies are absolutely not realistically thick enough for the weather. The snow is likely fake, and the actor is likely freezing their ass off between takes.
Maybe it’s because I was born in the tropics, or haven’t properly seen snow, or idk… but I am freezing my ass off at the moment. Our lovely new flat—with all its beautiful, breezy windows—is absolutely contributing to the chill. I now understand why people in cold countries obsess over insulation.
On the other hand, my winter clothes have come out cosy and cute af. I’ve also, very irresponsibly, partaken in one or two EOFY sales lately, under the ‘it’s cold, I must be warm’ justification. The wardrobe needed winterising, and I needed some serotonin. That’s justifiable, right?
So here it is: the winter coats of my dreams, the coat for the coldest day, and all the others you need in between — a list of the most coveted winter coats, and my most favourite coats for the Sydney winter fashion season.

WINTER COAT: BLANCA | Carmen Coat Grey, $460
My favourite, my number one. This stunning, tailored, double-breasted blazer-style coat in grey provides a cool-girl, chic look to your wardrobe. The colour? Immaculate. The tailoring? On point. Apologies in advance—she may already be sold out. I nearly cried when I got the “your order is confirmed” email.

WINTER COAT: Beare Park | Theodore Coat, $1,790 AUD
This stylish black wool-felt coat is the perfect lifetime buy to keep you warm for many winters to come. She’s serious. It’s giving wealth, stability, and late-night martinis at Piccolo Bar. A staple in every sense.

WINTER COAT: Camilla and Marc | Seidler Coat, $950
This tailored grey coat adds a bit of texture and tonal play with its layered grey-on-grey detailing. Elevated, subtle, and gives "I work in design but also have a Pinterest board for fashion girlies."

WINTER COAT: DISSH | BENTLEY wool COAT, $329.99
This cosy, brown wool-blend trench is a great casual coat that can be easily dressed up or down. I’m picturing two extremes: trekking to the corner store for milk in sweats and Uggs, or stomping down George Street in knee-high boots, micro shorts, and a chunky knit. Both versions of me are warm.

WINTER COAT: UNIQLO | Chester Coat, $149.90
This number is a great seasonal buy if you're feeling coat-non-committal. The single-breasted buttons are gorg, the pockets are deep, and it’s surprisingly warm. Honestly, UNIQLO is a winter MVP.
WINTER COAT: AJE Studio | Mira Coat, $379
This wrap trench offers both warmth and a beautifully dramatic neckline collar. I’d wear this belted tight, paired with knee-high black boots, a sleek black turtleneck, and a hot black purse. No notes.
WINTER COAT: St Agni | Soft Tailored Trench, $899
I love the lighter, softer feel this tailored trench offers. It’s ideal for those in-between days—winter melting into spring, when it’s cold but not that cold. The wrap design is flattering and the buckled belt is cute as hell.
WINTER COAT: friends with frank. | Vera Coat, $699
This structured wool coat has the most delicious warm, hazelnut tone. The texture of the fabric gives it that luxe, slightly undone look. I love the shoulder structure and how easily it could take you from 8am meetings to 8pm dinners. A true all-day coat.
WINTER COAT: ENA PELLY | Cleo Coat, $406
This cocoon-shaped, chestnut wool blend coat is the perfect mix of modernity and everyday city-chic fashion. It’s giving quiet confidence. The single-breasted front keeps it classic, while the soft shape makes it feel extra wearable—even over your chunkiest jumpers.
Such beautiful designs, such beautiful brands, and insanely beautiful fabrics ahh - thank you to the above designers for re-instilling a love for winter within me. Fashion, and stomping around the city in layers of stunning tailoring is really glorious.
Obviously, these are all sitting on my wish list, however, I am feeling very grateful and giddy that I snuck in to the BLANCA EOFY sale in time to score number 1. She is beautiful.
Until next time, that's all the faff I've got for today.
with love,
xx
