- A WEEKEND FOR REST
Sending my love to those in the USA this week. Quite utterly baffled and upset to hear the news - struggling to comprehend the results, and what this means for the future; for women especially. Some of the news and media outlets I follow have been recommending that we take some time to switch off for a bit and focus on the little things in the day that make us smile. Whilst I believe it to be super important to stay informed about the world, I do agree here - if you can afford it, take just a couple hours today to go OFFLINE and distract yourself with something simple. Here are some of my suggestions: BOOKS Good Material, by Dolly Alderton For something relatable, laughable and nostalgic in a heartbreaking kind of way. Fourth Wing, by Rebecca Yarros For something to take you away from this world, with a side of spice. Cloudstreet, by Tim Winton For a classic, picturesque, tell of a historical Australia. ACTIVITIES Enjoy a yoga class Read a book at the beach Go on a museum tour DATES Take yourself to a paint and sip class Picnic in the park with your bestie or bb Treat your parents to breakfast With love, Delaney x
- SUMMER PERFUMES YOU NEED THIS SEASON
As summer rolls around , (much to my delight) I aim to embody the season whole heartedly. I’m talking ocean swims before work, sunset drinks at 8pm, booty shorts and boots , and of course the perfect perfume to match. During the silly season, i like to wear scents that emulate the joy, fun and carefree-ness of summer; fruity, florals, vanilla and dry woods tend to be my go-to notes I look for in a perfume. Perfumes I have been recently obsessed with that just fit the vibe for summer, include: SINFUL ROSE PARFUM - MIHAN AROMATICS Featured in the image above, because I can’t get enough of it lately. Is the perfect gender-neutral spicy rose scent for rooftop drinks. Notes of floral wood, Turkish rose, and vanilla, give off a sexy sultry vibe, and I am into it. OMNIA CRYSTALLINE - BULGARI I like to think of her as the market girl; she’s buying tulips on a Sunday, and I aspire to be her. I love wearing this scent - crisp, flower hearted, with hints of pear - during the week when I need some of that cutesy clean girl energy. TABACCO VANILLE - TOM FORD The one on my wish list. The vanilla bean based, wood sap and dry fruit notes sound like perfection for a date night with boo. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these bottles. I am always looking for recommendations - what are your favourite summer scents ? With love, xx
- TRAVEL FIT FORMULA’s
For all of you over packers out there. On my recent trip to east Asia, I found myself (yet again) in the bathroom at the airport, shamelessly layering everything I had in my suitcase onto my body, and walking back up to the service desk hoping that my carry on would be back down to the acceptable 7kg. Every time this happens, I swear to myself that it won’t again. Alas… I have come up with the below formulas (fashion math) in hopes to make up a slightly lighter luggage load. I am extremely guilty of overweight baggage and am in dire need of a change of habit. Although I wish I could bring my entire wardrobe and look cute every day, these are the considerations I feel most important when packing: appropriate-ness, practicality, occasion and weather. DO NOT FORGET THESE. Because you just won’t be able to go everywhere in booty shorts , sadly. WARM WEATHER PACKING - T-shirt + flared linen pants + sandals + sunnies + mini bag. Midi skirt + t-shirt + loafers + sunnies + tote bag + plaits + cap. Jorts + singlet + long sleeve button-up+ sandals + sunnies + mini bag. Flares linen pants + singlet + tote bag + cap. Bring your packing total to = 12 pieces. And if you’re smart about it and wear your accessories, then your total comes down to = 7. Very doable. COLD WEATHER - Wide leg jeans + sneakers + graphic long sleeve + trench + mini bag. Knee high boots + stockings + mini skirt + turtle neck + t shirt + bomber + bum bag. Maxi dress + sneakers + graphic long sleeve + cardigan + sunnies + mini bag. Wide leg jeans + turtle neck + cardigan + knee high boots + sunnies + plaits + cap + bum bag. Bring your grand total to = 16 pieces. Again, wear your accessories will bring it down to = 12. TRAVEL DAYS - For the airport days; these won’t count towards your luggage but practicality and comfort is a must. My top tips are slip on/off shoes and layers. Comfy jeans + loafers + graphic long sleeve + bomber + plaits with bows + mini bag + cap + suitcase. Knee high boots + maxi skirt + singlet + turtle neck + plaits + cap + bum bag + suitcase. Loafers + jorts + singlet + button up long sleeve + mini bag + suitcase. What’re your go to travel fits ? With love, Xx
- ‘24 SPOTIFY WRAPPED
Quite possibly my favourite day of the year. I love seeing how my music taste has changed and grown each year, and all the funny personalities Spotify associates you with. Sadly, I didn’t quite make the ‘pink pretty Pilates vibe’ cult this year. But there’s always 2025 to make up for it ! Listen to my top 100 songs from my Spotify wrapped below: I have been listening back to my wrapped playlist on my Apple wire headphones ($29) . And these cute space black wireless headphones from Cotton On ($59). Send me your wrapped so I can discover new music! With love, xx

- CUTE CREWNECKS FOR THE COLD
Because we don’t compromise cute-ness in winter. The cult classic 80s/90s comeback of the crewneck has been remarkable. Stylishly haunting the Meta halls on the likes of Mrs Bieber, Bella Hadid and every it girl stepping out of the office for a cuppa and some sunshine. Not to insinuate my complaints, or impartiality by any means; I am proudly a part of the cult, and happy to join the parade to the coffee shop. A crewneck can really truly complete and cosy-ify an outfit, and I am ALL for it this season. My shopping habits for crewnecks have been vintage shops in Newtown, preppy op shops in Paddington, and online. I like to buy second-hand where I can, however, I do tend to find funner prints, colours and variety of sizes online. A cute, comfy, cosy and covetable list of crewnecks can be found below, by yours-truly. For your girly dates, the Alemais Sporty Sweater, will keep you cute and cosy enough to sit outside at bottom-less brunch this Sunday. One for the forever wish list, the CELINE TRIOMPHE CREW NECK SWEATER IN ARAN WOOL has my heart. For the trendy pop-of-red addition to your fit, the Bondi Records unisex rave sweatshirt - dark is the ticket. For the blue girlies needing something that can be dressed up, this COS Relaxed-fit Sweatshirt , is super cute. One with a little extra prep; I would kill for this Polo Ralph Lauren Julianna Cable Knit Cotton Crewneck Sweater. For an active-girly Saturday morning walk, this Nike Sportswear Plush Mod Crop Crew Xils , in sage green, is stunning. For a Sunday slump day, the Zulu & Zephyr ZZ SPORT SWEATSHIRT , is the perfect match to my fluffy cream pj pants. A warmth inducing and block colour choice, we are going for the UNIQLO 100% Premium Lambswool Crew Neck Sweater in grass green. For something office appropriate, this DISSH FLORENCE LONGLINE JUMPER will leave the work wifeys jealous. Stay cosy kids, and shop responsibly (unlike me). Love always, Delaney x
- WHAT'S IN MY ECCO BAG
Topic of focus: tan ECCO bag, as seen above. AKA - my new partner in crime. She is my new fave for every day life, particularly for my work days. This ECCO bag is perfection - she holds everything I need, and comes together with a cutesy magnetic clasp at the top which helps immensely when running around like a maniac on set. The leather is soft, and dimpled to perfection. I love the tan colour, and if you look closely, you can see the adorable khaki green outline that finishes the design. The adjustable strap is a great length for a cross-body moment, which I have been loving with my nearly-spring fits (I am so OVER winter). And the tan colour really just goes with any outfit, giving her extra points for versatility. In light of my every day use of this new gorgy-girl, here’s a quick haul of what I tend to lug around with me on the daily (minus my cards and keys, because they were ugly in the pic). ECCO BAG Slip hair ties Charlotte tilbury pillow talk lipstick Too Faced lip injection lip liner Kylie Jenner lip liner The Ordinary face oil Mecca Max brushes Charlotte Tilbury lip and cheek glow Paco Rabanne FAME travel perfume Apple AirPods IMBIBE lip balm Too Faced kissing jelly pina colada Rare Beauty soft pinch blush powder Nurofen (because I'm a migraine girly) Colourfast eye liner LOVE her ( ECCO BAG ) to death, and she amazes me daily by fitting all of this, and more. With love, Delaney x
- SCARF SCHOOL
Trying to wear a scarf has never been a strong suit of mine. They always seem to bunch in the wrong ways, not staying put when I need most and I’m left looking quite peculiar, whipping my head about in an attempt to flick this thing back to safety. This winter, a fun and achievable goal (much like I like to make my NY resolutions) was to learn how to properly wear a scarf. Partially because I am utterly freezing, and also, because scarves can honestly be quite cute. After a deep dive into styling mistakes of my past, and stunning pinterest inspo I hope to be in my future, I concluded the 3 best ways to style a scarf. Welcome to scarf school baby… With help from the lovely Feather and Weave , I have managed to take one step closer to a cuter and cosier winter outfit. You can shop the gorgeous black silk scarf seen below, HERE . The Under-Collar Tuck Because it’s mere-impossible to make a snafu of. The Over Shoulder Drape Because it provides accurate coverage and warmth, and it’s giving an Isla Fisher, in Confessions of a Shopaholick, vibe. The Loop Through Providing minimal room for floating away, and maximum ability to be tucked into a coat collar. For extra ways to style a scarf this winter, check out my super pink and super cosy IG reel . Back with more babble , winter fashion and life-updates shortly. Love always, Delaney x
- A WINTER WEEKEND ESCAPE
Sydney is one of the few cities in Australia that gets to experience all four seasons, one of the many reasons I adore it here. From someone who grew up largely on the northern end of NSW, and southern end of QLD, winter was usually around 20C and autumn/spring didn’t really exist (hence the excitement around autumn leaves and such). However, in the Sydney winter I can find myself craving a little getaway, especially when the heightened melatonin sleepiness and lack of motivation from winter/autumn gets the better of me. A little break from life, whether that be a staycation, trip home, or a holiday to somewhere warmer, is my luxurious way to get back in the swing of things and reset. Below, I have curated the perfect winter list of stays and getaways, for Sydney and surrounds during the chillier months. Whatever it is you need during this time of year to reset, relax and replenish, I am sure one of the below will soon be on your 2024 bucket list. I also added a few cute fashion picks for each location, because, well, they were cute. The Hilton, Sydney The perfect staycation for Sydney-siders. Check in, enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the hotel room filled with an at home pamper with this face mask , these under eye patches, this cute PJ set, topped with a hotel robe and slippers (because duh). Post your lavish self-care afternoon, get dressed in this cute set, this coat, and these boots, and head downstairs to meet your hot date at the Marble Bar . You will likely order an amaretto sour or lychee martini, because you’re treating yourself (or they are). Then, if it’s going well, head to Hilton’s Glass Brassiere for a delicious bite (I hear their famous spanner crab omelette is to die for). After your date which inevitably goes well, ditch them and go back to your girlboss-hotel room for a Sex in the City season three (because it’s the best season) binge. Apply this night cream, and this night serum whilst watching, because we are skincare girlies at heart. In the morning, indulge in an extra hot, extra long shower, before rolling downstairs for an elegant High Tea or buffet breakfast with your bestie (because you have to fill them in post-date) before a late check out of 12pm. Discover a tropical winter in North QLD For a little more of a literal escape from winter, far north Queensland during their ‘dry season’ offers no less than an exquisite getaway. Whether your day vibes look like a tan and mojito by the pool, or you’re more of a travel girly, there’s plenty room for both. The area is filled with beautiful nature reserves and waterfalls ( Josephine falls is a personal favourite ) which make for a lovely day trip. One non-negotiable visit, the Great Barrier Reef , will blow you away. This time of year is especially perfect, as the stingers are usually kept at bay and the days aren’t too hot. A cute bikini, sunnies and summer perfume will do the trick for a day pack here. Visit the Palm Cove restaurants on the way home to your hotel, for a tropical dining experience that will make you forget about winter entirely. You will come home from the FNQ feeling refreshed, and with a to-die-for tan that will have your coworkers immensely jealous. The Blue Mountains An escape from the city for the nature lovers, to the greenery filled Blue Mountains , will breathe life back into your soul. The feeling of waking up to bird sounds, and a morning walk through fog to the nearest coffee shop, fills a part of you you didn’t know was there. Walking under the 100 year old trees and waterfalls, provides connection back to your roots and self-security that we sometimes lose in the hustle of city life. Katoomba is a very cute place to set up camp; a sleepy, folk-like town fit with everything you need, plus a few extras. The italian restaurant and op shops make for a lovely rainy day outing. The 4C nights are a bit nippy, but definitely reset the body temperature, making the transition home a lot easier. Adorable cottage-like stays here provide a cosy sanctuary to rest. I recommend packing these chic gloves, this puffer jacket, a good book , and plenty of tea. Wishing you a safe trip, and a reset brain upon return. Love always, Delaney x
- JUNE GIG GUIDE: SYDNEY
An epic night, like no other I will witness again. A blessing - Paul McCartney, 2023 Gigs have always been a highlight of my life; the dancing, sweatiness, smell and energy of a crowd of people dancing and singing/shouting to music they enjoy or are obsessed with; makes my heart happy. I love seeing people so full of pure, childish joy, especially in large masses. Growing up, music festivals and live music gigs were always really important and frequent to us. My whole family really respected the industry, and really felt the value in going to see live music. I am forever grateful for this, and I absolutely intend on passing the baton on to my future, and entirely hypothetical kids. As a teenager, I spent almost all of my money earned from my cafe job, on every festival triple-j (and others) hosted. They were consistently a blast, and it feels really nostalgic in a free and beautiful way, looking back on pictures and memories from these times. Since COVID-19 struck, the hit the live music industry has taken in unfathomable. With the immense decrease in ticket sales, decreased interest from young people, investment cuts, rising operational costs and extreme weather, the lack of festivals ran seems sad, yet explainable. I have been to a couple festivals since, but almost all were cancelled to some capacity, or just felt extremely less-lively. 12hours of wine, dance, stars, and beautiful sunsets; Grapevine, 2022 Upsettingly, the light at the end of the tunnel doesn’t seem to be growing. However, there has been a rise of live music gigs and music tours, up to 84% since 2023, thanks to implemented law changes for hospitality venues to have extended trading hours and a more lenience around noise complaints. Although we are not back to where the live music industry of Australia should be (in my opinion), we are taking huge steps to regrow and replenish it. In my efforts to spread the love, I am introducing my newest series: GIG GUIDE, where I will be spilling the best recommendations (bias of me) for live music gigs in Sydney, each month. I am probably the most excited about this, because I get to talk about music, and screaming nostalgic lyrics into the night, and dancing and laughing and love, and sweaty mosh pits. If you are at all interested in live music, or supporting the regrowth of the industry, follow along here for an update each month. From a fabulous night of sky-high boogie, at Flight Facilities, Riverstage 2022 Without further adieu.. Please welcome to the stage.. GIG GUIDE: JUNE !! !! !! From a beautiful night at Boy and Bear, in Auckland 2023 Now, go forth and enjoy the month of June and its fabulous tunes. With love, Delaney x
- WINTER KICKS
During winter, apart from the freezing (what feels like) arctic winds literally chilling my bones, there are some things that are fun: candles, cosy movie nights and wearing as many layers as you possibly can, because you can. Fashion in winter makes my soul happy. There are so many options; you can wear those huge boots that are too sweaty in the summer. Trench coats are a must. And layers upon layers upon layers, are my every day. Outfits are so cute and cosy and you can experiment in really fun ways. As any of you who follow my instagram can probably tell, my style is quite versatile and honestly confuses me a lot of the time. Those TikToks of people being like “i’m this [shows indie sleaze/grunge outfit], but i’m also this [shows preppy outfit], then sometimes i’m this [mob-wife outfit], are so goddamn relatable. I find winter extra fun for this, because I can really hardcore experiment with different styles that I find otherwise difficult to in summer, because of the warmth. Footwear and jackets are probably my most favourite part of styling. I am constantly scouring the jacket sections of op shops, warehouse sales and every store I pass. Now this is all fun and games, until I realise that I don’t have much to actually pair them with.. I’m working on it. My shoe collection is much the same; my shoe racks are constantly overflowing which can be a bit of an issue when you live with someone else who equally deserves rights to shoe storage (sorry). Below, I collated a list of (in my opinion) must have shoes for this winter season. Most of these, I am realising, are just shoes straight off my wish list cart. Check back in a few weeks to see whether any of these have made it onto my IR shoe rack. WINTER KICKS: Alias Mae, Mary Janes, $239.95 Larroudé, Flower Mules, $500.48 Vivaia, Square-toed Slingbacks, $210 Steve Madden, Biker Boots, $287.35 on sale Adidas, Gazelle, $200 Dr Marten, Platform Loafers, $259.99 on sale Therapy Shoes, Clog Mules, $89.95 ROC Boots, Idaho, $279.95 MIU MIU, Slingback Pumps, $680 One day when I'm rich and famous, I will own all of these shoes and have shoe racks big enough to fit them all.. - ON REPEAT
A penny for your thought? Or I guess for my thoughts.. here is a list of things that have been ‘on repeat’ in my life lately because it’s fun to collate such a list and why not share I guess? Below is a strange list of stuff that has kept me happy, feeling nostalgic, been better for my health, been on my mind, or just general life notes. STYLES.
